I received my Ph.D. from CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), India, where I investigated the structure-function relationships of Metallothionein protein, focusing on their role in heavy metal toxicity. Currently, I am pursuing research on how cis-regulatory elements affect epigenetic programming in T cell genes during thymic development and their role in chronic diseases.

I completed my PhD from Kyoto University, Japan, where I studied the role of RNA epitranscriptomics in the developing neuron. I have expertise in molecular biology techniques, cell culture and imaging. My current research focuses on understanding regulatory nodes in the naïve T cell compartment. When not in lab, I enjoy singing, painting, crocheting amigurumi dolls and stargazing.
